The haircut you asked for, not the one we assume

At Marie's the hairstyle is customized to the owner's preference. Tell us how short, how round, how much length to leave on the ears and legs, and that is the cut your dog gets. If you have a photo of the look you want, text it to (718) 380-7387 before the appointment.

Google reviewers describe the same thing from the other side of the door: good communication, pictures of the final result, and the cut they asked for. If your request goes beyond a standard hairstyle, say so when you book, because personalized or beyond standard hairstyle requests can carry an additional fee.

The Full Groom Package starts with the same steps as the bath: wash, dry, brushing, an ear clean and a nail trim, with anal gland expression by request only. Then comes the full body haircut. Actual grooming time averages two to four hours, so plan your day around that rather than around a quick drop-in.

Tommy has been head groomer at Marie's since 2019 and specializes in artistic poodle and schnauzer cuts. Vanessa N. wrote on Google that Marie's has been cutting their shih tzu Charlie's hair since he was 6 months old and that Tommy has always done a great job. Matted coats and senior dogs, handled with care

Mats change the job. De-matting and matted pet shave-downs carry additional fees, and a dog that arrives matted needs the Matted Release Form signed before the work starts. Regular brushing at home between grooms is the simplest way to keep a coat out of that territory.

Dogs 8 years and older need the Senior Release Form. Safety and comfort come first for every dog at Marie's. One Google reviewer wrote that over the years the shop has groomed their very senior dog and, later, a pup. Questions about either form can go to mariespetgrooming@gmail.com.
